A Shadow That Broke The Light, a one-man show written and performed by Barrymore Award-winning actor Charlie DelMarcelle and featuring the artwork of activist printmaker Adam DelMarcelle, comes to Luhrs Performing Arts Center this fall with a performance that illuminates the ongoing crisis and costs of the opioid epidemic.

In 2014, Adam and Charlie lost their brother to an opioid overdose, catapulting their family into a community of Americans whose lives have been impacted by the opioid epidemic, inspiring them to share this collection of first-person accounts collected from the family and friends of victims of the overdose crisis.

A Shadow That Broke The Light runs Friday, September 22 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, September 23 at 1 p.m. & 4 p.m.  The performance is free, but seating is limited, as performances will take place with the audience seated on the Luhrs Center stage.  Make reservations here or by calling the box office at 717-477-7469.

Before or after the performance, head over to the Ceddia Student Union Building across the street from Luhrs Performing Arts Center to see EPIDEMIC, the art installation that accompanies A Shadow That Broke The Light.
