Saturday, July 22 Broadway Lovers: Stars of stage and screen Richard Troxell and Melissa Errico
The festival culminates with an exceptional evening to remember when the Shippensburg Festival Orchestra is joined by “Broadway Lovers” Metropolitan Opera Tenor Richard Troxell and the beloved Broadway star Melissa Errico. Critics rave about this dynamic musical couple, “Errico’s voice shines, and Richard Troxell turns his numbers into pure gold.” (NY DAILY NEWS) Enjoy well-loved musical selections from famous Broadway classics like Showboat, West Side Story, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Sweeney Todd and more. This concert is presented in honor of Dr. Blaine F. Shover, former Artistic Director of the Shippensburg Festival.
Packages are available. The three-show package is $120 for front orchestra/front balcony, $90 for upper orchestra or $80 for upper balcony. Call 717-477-SHOW for assistance with packages or purchase here. Discounted tickets are available for Youth (17 & under).
You will receive a discount when purchasing a three-show package and also support the return of the Shippensburg Festival Celebration Series, which is made possible by the Dr. Jean V. Johnston Memorial Fund established with the Shippensburg University Foundation. Dr. Johnston recognized Shippensburg University’s important role in setting the cultural tone of the region. Her interest in promoting the cultural arts and her love of classical music led her to serve as a board member of the Festival Chamber Orchestra Association for many years and establish an endowed fund to benefit the Shippensburg University Festival Orchestra summer concert series to bring world-class musicians and programming to the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center.
